Suzuki Association of the Capital District is an organization made up of cello, double bass, flute, piano, viola, and violin teachers and their students.
The Association offers recital opportunities, workshops, and occasional master classes for students. Suzuki students and their families gain enrichment and a feeling of camaraderie from participating in programs with peers. The Association provides teachers with professional development, mutual support, and a forum for sharing ideas. The insurance policy covers teacher recitals as well as Association events.
Our Mission
The Suzuki Association of the Capital District (SACD) exists to foster the ideals of the Suzuki philosophy of Talent Education. All activities of the Suzuki Association are aimed at bettering teachers’ standards of teaching and at providing group activities for the Suzuki community at large. SACD is not organized for profit and, as a nonprofit, no part of its net earnings inures to the benefit of any private individual.
